My first campaign design as an intern that got me hired at PEN America. Since 1993, the United Nations has celebrated World Press Freedom Day around the globe, defending press freedom, celebrating the positive impact journalism has on communities and their countries, honoring journalists for the work they do holding the powerful accountable — and standing up on behalf of those who have been silenced.

I decided that words can be just as loud as pictures, especially if they’re the same. I wanted to use something typography based (primarily) especially relating to our Manifesto, since it felt very strong.
